This dress is one of Simonne's favorite dresses. So you can imagine
that she was not very happy to ruin it. However, it was a pleasure for us
to see the dress and Simonne's body completely covered with thick mud.

Yes, she did... it was impossible to walk around with shoes in your feet in that mudpit.
