    if the download still is causing trouble. Maybe it is a good idea to make a trace-route.
    A trace-route is a measurement of all the connections/hops between you and the host. hostgator do descripe it at

    But the description there is rather poorly made I think.
    So I will try to explain it here.

    First you need to download a traceroute tool. Hostgator recomend using
    http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/
    I tried it and it do work nicly.
    The program you get in that download i portable. That is it no installation is required. It is simply a *exe that you run directly. you can place it on a USB stick and use it on different computers with no hassle at all.

    Now when the program is running at the top is a field called host. Here you insert the name of the internet site you are trying to conect to but WITHOUT all the extra stuff you normaly see around it on the address line. So for hostgator.com only type hostgator.com at the top line, and then pres the start button.

    now you can see the connection from your computer to hostgater.com or whatever site you put in. the timing shown is in milliseconds so a value of 500 indicate a delay of half a second. Any values larger that 1000 (one secound) usualy indicate that something is bad.

    to give you someting to compare with - my trace route look like the folowing (I have removed a few hops to hide my own IP-Adress)

    I wrote a message to the staff of Hostgator.com (where our servers are located)
    The Host Gator staff will reply as soon as they will solve the issue.

    For me, I cannot see any difference BUT if you guys discover that you can download fast from the wetlookway.com but still have issues with the eurowam.net download then we clearly need to do a reset to the server.

    I did't want to go with the reset for the first time because that will cause the whole server to be down for one hour.

    Please let me know and we will solve it.

  • We've already discussed this between us already and just for feedback purposes YES I'm still having problems with the slow download speed. That link from hostgator didn't work for me. I kept getting an error message every time I tried it. I'm not from Europe....I'm from the U.S.

    Is anyone else from the U.S. having the same problem as me?
